Recycling and Waste Management
McCreery has a contract with recycling company ‘Greenstar’. This enables us to recycle all of our paper, plastic, polystyrene and wood waste. We estimate that 85% of our total overall waste is recycled and make a regular effort to better this, all of the time looking for new ways to improve our efficiency.
Suppliers
Our leading suppliers e.g. Teknion, Sitland, Frezza, are all committed to designing and producing products based on their environmental impact.
Their environmental management systems are ISO 14001 approved.
Teknion and Frezza products are also produced by materials sourced from FSC certified suppliers.
Awareness
We have an on site factory, which manufactures bespoke furniture.
We execute environmental awareness amongst all our members of staff by:
- Ensuring each employee discard of waste correctly and appropriately.
- Reduce printing using soft copies, CD’s, memory sticks & PDF creator for documents.
- Ensure deliveries are organised to minimise the use of our trucks.
We regularly refer to the www.envirocentre.ie website to update our knowledge on best practice guidelines to ensure our company is working to its fullest potential with regards to protecting the environment.
